View from on high
There are some remarkable vantage points from which to view Antananarivo, as these images show. We were on a tour Monday night and stopped at sunset in a neighborhood where children were playing. Many years ago, this place on a cliff was where Christians were martyred after being thrown to their death, a sobering thought as people relaxed and played games and visited all around us. Malagasy tradition honors those who have been martyred. Photos include Dale Voss and some new friends, Dwayne VanRheenen and Jerry Strader using digital cameras and cell phones to document the vista, and Ryan Britt showing children what they looked like in the viewfinder of his HD camera.
